    Dr. Jason Reed joined Joint Implant Surgeons in 2014. Prior to joining JIS Dr. Reed operated a successful practice in Athens, Ohio, which he opened in 2009. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Ohio University. Dr. Reed graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. He then completed an internship and Orthopedic residency at St Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Reed is board certified and a member of both the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr Reed’s clinical interests include total and partial knee replacement with a focus on outpatient total joint arthroplasty. Additional specialities include Arthroscopic sports medicine procedures including ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration procedures, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, labral repair of the shoulder, operative fracture care, and hand surgery including carpal tunnel release and trigger finger release. Dr Reed is a volunteer surgeon with Operation Walk USA and sees patients at Athens and New Albany office locations.
